As some of you know, I'm the admin over at Hall of Justice forums so it's obvious that I'm a die-hard Super Friends fan. Seeing the Hall of Justice finally make it's DCU debut today in JLA #7 totally took me by surprise.

Thank you Brad. This is so long overdue it's not not even funny. From one Super Friends fan to another - YOU ROCK!!!

I agree PG, the new headquarters, both the Hall and the Satellite bring in the best of the old headquarters. I wonder if they stil have that outpost on Pluto...

I wasn't aware that the JLA had an outpost on Pluto? Care to elaborate?

Thanks,

PG

Pluto: JLA Classified issues 1 thru 3, by Morrison.
There is also a reference to a base of some sort on one of Jupiter or Saturns moons at one point. I'm thinking the Kelly run, right after the Obsidian Age.

That makes sense with how many times the JLA satellite/Watchtower has been destroyed by an alien invasion. Maybe in the current JLA series, they will re-establishe these outposts and have a few space-faring Leaguers man them such as Kilowog, Captain Comet, or Adam Strange

On TheBatman this past weekend, Martian Manhunter invites Batman to join the League. As they pull out, we see the headquarters looks like the Hall of Justice on top of a pointy piece of earth floating in space. A satellite that looks like the Hall. Another case of great minds thinking alike.

oh yeah, other members of the league shown at the end of the episode - in non speaking parts only - Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Green Arrow.

Plus, Superman and Aquaman are reported to be appearing on the show next season.

I'm lost, think I will go back to the novels section. I know superman, aquaman, green lantern, green arrow, batman, robin, wonder woman, but who and what is a Captain Comet or an Adam Strange (now you have a Journey Strange) is beyond me?

Novles folks: The characters you listed are the ones many people know. I'll risk adding you might be familiar with Shazam. Think of comics as a rich tapestry of a novel written in chapters across decades by many writers (and artists). Each one added his or her own angles and creations to the work. Some characters got more "screen time" and became better known. Others were kept in the fringe of the spolight by those who had a story to tell. Others are so obscure almost no one has heard of them. Maybe this should be its own thread...

I do remember Shazam and I still don't see comic books as novels. Where is the plot? The conflict, the resolution? Where is the passion? Comics are basically cartoons.

Journey, despite your claim in another thread to not wish to belittle comics, saying that they lack plot, conflict, resolution or passion does just that. And cartoons, too!

JSA #6 should have stoked you as well, with the "old villainous headquarters".

Oh it did! It's about time the Hall of Doom made an appearance in the DCU. Now if only it was flying through the air and firing laser-beams from it's eyes!
