Hi! I'm hoping Brad checks this place occasionally. Just wanted to say I'm enjoying his run on JLA, I'm up to issue #6 (still playing catch-up) but so far it's a terrific read. I also really enjoyed how he's handling Hal Jordan, which is about 75% of the reason I picked up JLA in the first place, so well done and keep up the good work! |

75%? wow. I've always picked up JLA because you get to read about a bunch of hereoes for the same price as reading about 1. Worked in 1978 and works today. |

I sort of agree with Superfriend. I pick up the book to see all of the heroes but more so for the monthly team-up. If this was a book of solo stories, I wouldn't bother. |

I hear what you guys are saying, and I do like the other characters, but honestly not enough to pick up the JLA. *shrug* Similar thing happened with the Avengers, I'd say 50-75% of the reason I read Avengers for a while was because I loved reading about Captain America. In both situations though, it was how they interacted with the team and contributed that I enjoyed, and you can't really get that in a solo title...though I collect that as well. |

Interesting. I've been a fan of the team for 30 years (counting watching the Superfriends). The team has always been more important than the members. The team has gone thru numerous changes in membership. Some dictated by DC, some by the writers. Some major, some small. The only bad moves, in my estimation, were those where the team was made smaller, focusing on fewer characters. The best times were larger teams, more characters. The Satellite era, my first, had a dozen members and bumped that up to 16. The International team went from 8 founding members through a bunch of changes and grew to two teams of about that many. Morrison expanded the team from 7 to 10 and then reformed it to 14. Kelly gave us the "B" team, many of whom stayed. Guest stars are always welcome. Conway replaced the satellite with a more focused team of 8. Waid reduced the team to 8. The recent rotating writers on JLA and JLA Classified often seem to have only 6 members. Meltzer gives us 11 regular players(counting GeoForce). |

I can totally understand what Jasonite is saying. I was only brought to JLA because Roy was there this time. I haven't read if for 25yrs because I never had enough interest in the charatcters on the team to get me to buy it. Now I am picking it up though, I've grown to like characters I never really gave much thought to before and I'm now picking up GL, Detective comics, Brave and Bold and Hawkgirl as well as my normal pull list. |

I wish they would go away from these "posed" shots and go back to covers that give some info into the story inside. |

Unless you're Alex Ross and you are doing JSA covers. |

Even with Alex Ross it's getting a bit stale. I loved the Wildcat(s) cover, because it combined the theme of "characters before a black background" with a dynamic picture. But the rest were so... generic. |

just never liked them. not on JSA. And certianly not on JLA 8,9,10 where we could have had some nice action scenes. |

You didn't like the turner covers? I thought they looked beautiful. Turner covers are a plus, even if they aren't action shots. It was a great way to showcase three members from three different teams. I loved the cover for #10. All three ladies. Definitely a special cover for all the fanboys. Ha ha. |

not a fan of Turner's artwork in general. not a fan of it turned into action figures either. Brad gets Zatanna into the figure line, but Turner's artwork is so off that she looks aweful. Same with Canary. |

Havent't seen them yet, but then again I am more into art than figures. They're a little too costly. I'd rather have comics. |

In case it was not clear, I was referring to DC Direct lines named Identity Crisis series 1 and Identity Crisis series 2. They came out a while ago. I think you can see pictures of them on the DCDirect section of www.DcComics.com |
